Ferran Torres scored the decisive goal in the 27th minute, assisted by Lamine Yamal, securing a 5-4 aggregate victory for Barcelona after an intense first-leg draw (4-4) in February.

Match Overview

Torres was set free by a brilliant pass from Lamine Yamal and finished with a low shot into the bottom left corner past goalkeeper Juan Musso.

The match began with both teams attacking, and Cesar Azpilicueta was involved in a VAR review for a potential red card after fouling Raphinha early on, but he received only a yellow card.

Raphinha had another excellent chance before halftime, but his effort was well saved by Musso.

In the second half, Atletico pushed hard for an equalizer. Alexander Sorloth, who came on as a substitute, missed a close-range opportunity and later had a goal ruled out for offside.

Despite Atletico’s pressure, Barcelona’s defense held firm, securing their place in the Copa del Rey final against Real Madrid on April 26.

Facing Madrid in the Final

This win marks Barcelona’s return to the Copa del Rey final for the first time in four years. They will face arch-rivals Real Madrid in an eagerly anticipated “El Clásico” final on April 26, 2025.

Barcelona, under coach Hansi Flick, remains in contention for a treble this season, leading La Liga and advancing in the Champions League.
