Gagan Thapa Says No Time to Discuss Obsolete Monarchy
Nepali Congress General Secretary Gagan Kumar Thapa, targeting former King Gyanendra Shah, remarked that there is no time to discuss a character from the past who has already been discarded.

While addressing the ‘Ncell Baahrakhari Conclave’ organized in Kathmandu on Saturday, General Secretary Thapa stated that there is no time to sit and discuss characters and topics from the decade ago which have already been thrown away in the past.
Calling monarchy unnecessary and obsolete, he mentioned that there is no need to debate over things that are already gone.
“In the next 8 to 10 years, we should not be wasting time discussing outdated, unnecessary, obsolete, and already discarded characters and topics from the past decade, which were already dumped and forgotten in the past,” Thapa said.

Instead, Thapa emphasized that the next decade should focus on increasing the number of IT experts fivefold, tripling their salaries, and enhancing IT infrastructure.
“The topic of discussion for the next 10 years should be about how to increase our IT experts fivefold, how to triple their salaries, and how to develop IT infrastructure,” Thapa added.
