
PM Oli Returns from BIMESTIC, Speaks on Tinkune Incident
Kathmandu, April 4 — Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli has returned to Nepal after completing an official visit to Thailand to participate in the BIMSTEC Summit. Upon his arrival at Tribhuvan International Airport, PM Oli addressed the press and described his trip as successful.
During the visit, PM Oli held key sideline discussions, including a significant meeting with Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi. He shared that both leaders agreed to further strengthen Nepal-India relations and resolve any emerging issues through dialogue.
Oli also noted that Prime Minister Modi was unable to attend the Sagarmatha Dialogue due to pre-scheduled commitments.

Responding to media questions about the March 28 incident in Tinkune, PM Oli emphasized that a fair investigation will be conducted.
“It might not necessarily be a judicial investigation, but it will be impartial,” he said. “Not every case requires a judicial probe — we’ll consider whether to pursue a judicial or fair administrative investigation.”
He also addressed the ongoing protests by teachers, stating that the government acknowledges their legitimate demands. “The teachers came out in protest because they trust the government to listen and act,” Oli remarked.
