Police arrested a 53-year-old man in Noida’s Sector 15 on Friday afternoon for allegedly murdering his wife, Asma, by repeatedly hitting her head with a hammer, driven by suspicions of her having an extramarital affair.
After the murder, the man reportedly went straight to the police station to turn himself in and confess. The victim, identified as 42-year-old Asma Khan, was a civil engineering graduate from Jamia Millia Islamia University and worked at a private company in Noida’s Sector 62.

According to Noida Police, Haider suspected his wife, Asma Khan, of maintaining a relationship with another man, which frequently led to heated disputes between them. Victim’s Family’s Reaction
Asma and Haider married in 2005 and raised two children—a 15-year-old daughter in Class 8 and a 19-year-old son studying engineering. The family lived in a two-story house in Noida’s Sector 15, where they rented out the lower floor to paying guests while residing on the upper floor.
