Astronomer Launches Investigation

Astronomer, a New York-based tech firm, responded swiftly. On July 18, the company announced a formal investigation. Both Byron and Cabot were placed on leave.

A statement on LinkedIn emphasized the company’s commitment to its values. “Our leaders must set the standard in conduct and accountability,” it said.

The board appointed co-founder Pete DeJoy as interim CEO. The rapid response aimed to address public scrutiny and internal concerns.

Byron Resigns Amid Backlash

 On July 19, 2025, Astronomer confirmed Andy Byron’s resignation. The company’s LinkedIn post stated, “Andy Byron has tendered his resignation, and the Board of Directors has accepted.” The decision followed intense online backlash.
