Pakistan’s Prime Minister Strongly Criticizes Israel’s Gaza Decision

Pakistan’s Prime Minister, Shehbaz Sharif, has openly and firmly condemned Israel’s recent cabinet decision to militarily take over Gaza City. He described the move as illegal, illegitimate, and extremely dangerous, warning that such actions would only inflame tensions in the already fragile region. Sharif stressed that this plan represents a severe escalation of the conflict and undermines any chance of achieving peace between Israel and Palestine.

Growing Humanitarian Crisis Raises Alarming Concerns

The Prime Minister warned that pushing military operations into Gaza City could lead to a wave of forced displacement, with thousands of Palestinian families losing their homes.

Gaza is already in a state of humanitarian emergency, and prolonged violence makes it even harder for relief agencies to deliver essential supplies. Sharif emphasized that every day of fighting puts more civilian lives at risk and further destroys the hope of recovery.

The Root Cause: Longstanding Occupation of Palestinian Lands

Moreover, without resolving these core issues, any military actions will only deepen resentment and, consequently, prolong the conflict.

The Prime Minister appealed to the global community, urging world powers, humanitarian organizations, and the United Nations to act quickly. His demands include stopping Israeli aggression, ensuring the safety of civilians, and restoring humanitarian aid access to Gaza.

He stressed that Pakistan is already contributing to relief efforts and is coordinating through its humanitarian agencies to send assistance to those in need. He called for a unified international response to prevent the crisis from spiraling further out of control.

Pakistan’s condemnation reflects a growing wave of international criticism against Israel’s plan. World leaders and organizations including the UN, European Union, France, Canada, Germany, the UK, and several Arab nations have labeled the move as a violation of international humanitarian law.

United Nations Security Council recently held an emergency meeting to discuss the crisis. In addition, in a notable diplomatic shift, Germany temporarily halted arms exports to Israel that could be used in Gaza, thereby signaling that some countries are now reassessing their stance on the conflict.

With the situation worsening, diplomatic efforts are gaining urgency. Countries like Egypt and Qatar are working on ceasefire talks aimed at reducing violence and negotiating the release of hostages.
