Who Is Teddi Mellencamp?

Teddi Mellencamp is a wellness coach, podcast host, and former cast member of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills. Born in 1981, she is the daughter of rock legend John Mellencamp.

She gained fame on the reality show from 2017 to 2020, appearing in three seasons. Mellencamp is also a mother of three and runs a fitness business. Known for her openness, she has shared her cancer journey with fans since her diagnosis. She co-hosts the Two Ts in a Pod podcast with Tamra Judge, discussing reality TV and personal challenges.

When Did This Happen?

Mellencamp’s latest update was shared on May 7, 2025, via Instagram, as reported by Daily Mail and People. She reflected on her mental health, saying choosing to wear a wig is a “day-to-day decision.”

The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills alum, 43, walked the red carpet without a wig, bearing the scars from her multiple brain surgeries this year

This came after a positive update in late April 2025, when she announced her tumors had significantly shrunk. She has been undergoing immunotherapy and completed radiation earlier this year. Her treatment journey has been ongoing since her cancer progressed to stage four, with regular updates shared on social media.

When Did She Find Out?

Mellencamp was first diagnosed with melanoma, a type of skin cancer, in March 2022 after noticing suspicious spots. She had stage two melanoma removed and urged fans to get skin checkups.

In February 2025, she learned the cancer had metastasized, spreading to her brain and lungs, advancing to stage four. Doctors found multiple tumors, including four in her brain, leading to emergency surgery. Additional tumors were later discovered in her lungs. She began immunotherapy and radiation, facing a Nowak, sharing her diagnosis publicly in February and March 2025, calling it a fight for her life.

What’s Next for Mellencamp?

Mellencamp remains hopeful despite the challenges. She has two immunotherapy sessions left, with doctors optimistic about her recovery if treatments continue to work. She told People at a Women’s Cancer Research Fund gala on April 28, 2025, that she feels “pretty good” but admits to emotional lows.

She’s paused divorce proceedings with her estranged husband, Edwin Arroyave, to focus on her health. Supported by family, including her father and former co-star Kyle Richards, she continues to inspire fans with her resilience. Mellencamp vows to keep a positive outlook, saying her doctor encourages her strength, joking about her “Mellencamp blood.”
