On February 3, 2025, tragedy struck All Saints Catholic High School in Sheffield, UK, when Harvey Willgoose was stabbed twice in the chest. The attack unfolded around midday, allegedly involving a hunting knife. As emergency responders rushed Harvey to the hospital, he succumbed to his injuries in the ambulance, leaving staff and students in shock.

The violence erupted in front of horrified witnesses, as the defendant—whose identity remains undisclosed due to his age—allegedly ambushed Harvey. The incident devastated the school community and sent shockwaves throughout Sheffield, a city rarely associated with such brutality.

Located on Granville Road in Sheffield, South Yorkshire, All Saints Catholic High School is a well-regarded secondary school. However, on that fateful day, its halls became the scene of a heartbreaking crime. Investigations and Court Updates

South Yorkshire Police swiftly arrested the 15-year-old suspect and charged him soon after the attack. On April 28, 2025, he appeared before Sheffield Crown Court, where he pleaded guilty to manslaughter and possession of a bladed article. However, he denied the charge of murder, setting the stage for a trial scheduled for June 30, 2025.

Investigators confirmed that the weapon used was a hunting knife that had been brought onto school grounds. The case has since fueled widespread debates about school safety, knife crime prevention, and the urgent need for stronger protective measures.
