Trump Demands US Attorney General Share Epstein Data

Trump Urges Release of Epstein Files

President Donald Trump has called on US Attorney General Pam Bondi to release “credible” information about Jeffrey Epstein. Speaking to reporters on July 15, 2025, Trump said Bondi should disclose whatever she deems reliable. This follows a Department of Justice (DOJ) memo that stirred controversy.

The memo, released last week, denied the existence of an Epstein “client list.” It also confirmed Epstein’s 2019 death as a suicide

MAGA Backlash Fuels Pressure

Trump’s statement comes amid growing anger from his Make America Great Again (MAGA) supporters. Many in the MAGA base accuse the administration of hiding Epstein’s connections.

Social media posts show frustration over perceived cover-ups. Some supporters demand full transparency on Epstein’s case. The backlash has put Trump in a rare conflict with his base. High-profile Republicans, including Rep. Lauren Boebert, have criticized the lack of openness.

Bondi Faces Intense Criticism

Attorney General Pam Bondi is at the center of the storm. She stated there’s no evidence Epstein kept a client list or blackmailed powerful figures. This claim sparked outrage among MAGA influencers and some GOP lawmakers.

Bondi, appointed recently, defended her stance on Fox News, saying a list was under review earlier this year. She now insists the DOJ’s findings are clear. Despite calls for her resignation, Bondi says she’ll stay as long as Trump wants.

Trump Shifts Stance on Epstein

Initially, Trump urged supporters to “move on” from the Epstein case. He defended Bondi and downplayed the controversy. On July 15, he shifted, calling the case “sordid but boring.” Trump now supports releasing credible files to ease tensions.

He claims some Epstein files were fabricated by Democrats, including Barack Obama and Joe Biden. During his 2024 campaign, Trump had promised to “probably” release the files

Republican lawmakers are pushing for more action. House Speaker Mike Johnson supports full disclosure of Epstein-related files.

He also backs Ghislaine Maxwell, Epstein’s convicted associate, testifying before Congress. Senator John Kennedy emphasized voters’ desire to know who Epstein trafficked women to and why no prosecutions followed. Rep. Lauren Boebert suggested former Rep. Matt Gaetz as a special counsel to investigate. These demands highlight a split within the GOP

The Epstein case continues to spark debate.

A CNN poll shows 50% of Americans are dissatisfied with the government’s transparency on Epstein. Democrats have seized the moment, trolling Republicans on social media and in Congress. They demand more records be released. Meanwhile, MAGA influencers and Trump’s family, including Lara Trump, call for greater openness.

Lara Trump told Fox News more transparency is needed. The controversy shows no signs of fading.
